Transportation to Drake Bay Wilderness Resort
Location
Located on the Osa Peninsula, along Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast, Drake Bay Wilderness Resort enjoys a remote, pristine setting, while remaining easily accessible from San José. Relatively little has changed here since Sir Francis Drake visited the naturally protected bay in 1579 during his circumnavigation of the globe.
Amenities
The hotel has over 20 charming, tropical cabins available. Each cabin comes complete with hot water showers, bathrooms, porches, and a ceiling fan. All have a view of the bay, mountains and rain forest. Each cabin is always meticulously maintained for cleanliness. We also have rooms with air conditioning.
Tents are also available, furnished with twin beds, electricity, and a fan. A path leads to a nearby beach for sunbathing and snorkeling. Nap in the evening in one of the palm-shaded hammocks, or swim in a natural salt-water tide pool.
A fully-stocked, open-air bar is a great place to relax and watch the warm colors of evening settled over the bay. Guests also enjoy three tasteful meals a day, featuring fresh-caught local fish, produce, tropical fruits, and homemade bread and desserts. For your convenience, laundry service is also available.
